How to Verify Device Join Type

Learn how to navigate the Microsoft Entra device management portal to efficiently filter your device list by join type. This guide helps administrators quickly isolate specific machine configurations for better reporting and device oversight.
- Go to Microsoft Admin Center https://admin.cloud.microsoft/#/homepage
- If you don't see identity on the left hand side click show all.
- From the left hand menu go to Admin Centers and click Identity - This will bring up the Microsoft Entra Admin Center
- From the left hand menu choose Devices
- On the Devices Overview page click All Devices
- On this page you can see the Join Type column, this shows you the Join Type for each Device. All the ones that say Microsoft Entra joined are joined to Microsoft. And you can see that the MDM is Intune. So Intune manages them.

- If you want to look at a specific device, you can enter the Device Name (Serial ID) in the Search box and it will find that device
All of our devices, except for one old one, is Entra joined, which is what they should be. The old one is hybrid joined but that should be the only one.
